Of the four great courses of the 1994 and 1995 PDGA World Disc Golf Championships hosted on Port Arthur's Pleasure Island, only the original stands today - Berry's Treasure. The course remains just as it has for over a decade - complete with signs, baskets, and well manicured lawn. The course is on an island literally a putter's throw away from the ship channel which adds to this scenic course. You'll often see large ships and tugboats pass by as you enjoy a round on this course. The course was designed by disc golf legend, John Houck in 1991.
Keep in mind the course has changed since Hurricane Rita hit in 2005 so the map above is no longer completely accurate.
This is a map of the course from 1991-2005. Click on the hole numbers on this course map to get full color photographs of the holes. These photos were made by disc golf local, Tommy Winfrey. He is webmaster of a great local disc golf website, GTDiscGolf.com.
